About the Book

Chances are, if you’re reading this you have heard about, bought, or someone has suggested you read my book “Left at the Altar” because you, yourself, are in the throes of rejection. That’s why I like to call it my gift to you!  Yes, it’s marketed as a book “To Every Woman Who Has Felt the Heartbreak of Rejection,” but I’ve actually had several men who’ve read tell me to stop calling it a ‘Chick Book!”  They believe (as do I) that this is a book for anybody who’s felt the pain of rejection from someone they love.  The things I learned in my own experience, the ways I healed, what I learned about myself, and how I found my new “future story,” are universal themes that apply to anybody who’s been unlucky in love.

Yes, it’s true, I really was left at the altar. As I say in the book I was just about to have it all: a great family, great friends, a great career in television, and a great guy who was about to be mine forever.  As you’ll read, that’s not exactly how it turned out!  The whole sad event set my life on a downward spiral in every way imaginable. Fortunately that’s not the final chapter.

What I realized thru writing the book, is that “left at the altar” is actually a metaphor for anybody’s who’s been rejected in love: women whose husbands have left them, women feeling rejection in their marriage, women navigating the dating world who face it.  If you think about it, who hasn’t been rejected?

So my gift to you, my prayer for you, is that what you read in my story and the stories of other women I share, will inspire you to find your own strength, courage, and  hope.  Most of all never forget that the God who made the universe loves you more than you know, more than any person here on earth ever could.  He will never reject you! And he’s got the most amazing plan to give you the life and the love you deserve.
